With a fascination and passion for the entertainment industry plus experience living in the US for 3 years with his family as a teenager, Ben likes to think he brings a worldly view to the table but hey, who is he kidding. |

A huge supporter of the local film and arts industry, and has a genuine passion for it, being at several times, in front, behind and next to the camera too. | Will Conway has had an undeniable love for film ever since his directorial debut at the age of 12 bringing the classic Steinbeck novel ‘The Pearl’ to the year seven class room. Will has worked for a number of years within the industry in roles as varied as cinema usher to regional marketing and back, currently in a position within the GU film department. Will loves all things ‘not cool’ including spending way too much time on the Xbox, comic book films and any form of Star Wars merchandise. |

| Surprise, surprise - Avatar still atop the global box office | ||

The juggernaut that is Avatar is on the highway to potentially hitting the $100 million mark in Australia and the scary thing is - no one knows when this beast is going to stop screaming! The film took another $1.9 million at the Aussie box office over the weekend, more than double the film in second place, while in the U.S the blockbuster took an astonishing $54.6 million over the Martin Luther King holiday - this in it's fifth week of release. Industry insiders are amazed at the success of James Cameron's epic and no one can see Stop sign in sight especially when you consider the Golden Globe awards won yesterday (Best Film and Best Director). Just around the corner are the Academy Awards and who knows what the film will do there - it may just clean up and rightly so. Cameron has set the bar at a height unlikely to be seen again for sometime - the question is - will all films begin to be made in 3D? A revolution is almost upon us it'd be safe to say. |
