There is no doubt that in the realm of animated film, Pixar is king. With a string of B.O blockbusters under its name, multiple academy awards and billions at the box office, you could almost forgive them for dropping the ball at least once. Earlier in the year when I was looking at the films for 2009, I remember looking at UP and thinking ‘what is this all about?’ I thought it was such a weird concept, that maybe not even Pixar could pull it off, how wrong I was. Let it be said, I think T2 is one of the greatest Hollywood sequels of all time. Next would have to be Aliens, and what’s the connection? Captain of the Titanic himself, James Cameron. When he left the franchise post T2 I had my doubts about T3, and although I liked where it ultimately went, I still think it was one film too many set in the pre-apocalyptic world.
