Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen has held onto the number one spot at the Aussie box office with the film taking an estimated $6.23 million to push the overall total to a staggering $27.1 million after less than two weeks in release. Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs nabbed second and third spot (3D) with the film taking an $3.6 million and the 3D version generating $2.19 million. The Independence Day long weekend at the U.S box office saw a rare tie according to boxofficeguru.com with Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs and Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen both taking an estimated $42.5 million. Transformers has now grossed over $293 million and is likely to top the $300 million mark within the week. Ice Age 3 showed the continued audience appreciation of 3D. Well, by now, pretty much everyone has seen Transformers 2, and if you haven’t, there are still plenty of sessions across the country to park you butt for 2 and a half hours and enjoy the chaos that is 40 odd alien robots beating each other up. It's had mixed reviews from inside these four walls that make up this office. Some people liked it, some people thought it was boring and were restless through the 150 minutes, others thought it was just like the book. There were a couple of comments that it will be for 'fans only' and that nothing happens until the last 20 minutes, but seriously, I don't care. New images have surfaced of Johnny Depp like you've never seen him before. In character as the Mad Hatter from his new film, Alice In Wonderland, directed by Tim Burton.
